(Clear Aligners/Invisalign).

Innovative and advanced aesthetic procedures have become increasingly popular. Invisible braces or Invisalign has upped the game by overcoming the bad aesthetics and discomfort related to traditional braces (due to their metal or ceramic framework viz. brackets and wires) during treatment. Because a patient always wants to look good even while the treatment is in the process; invisible braces are the go-to treatment now.

What is a Clear Path Aligner (invisible aligners)?

Clear Path Aligners are a series of tight-fitting custom-made removable trays made of the highest quality elastic-plastic material that fit over teeth correctly. The trays put very low but continuous pressure on teeth and move them over time. A Clear path aligner is not like traditional braces. In the sense that they are virtually invisible, comfortable, easy to wear, and removable. Invisible braces or Invisible Aligners come with different brand names such as Invisalign, Clear path, Clear Correct, Smile Direct Club, Ensemble, and Snap Correct.

What conditions can Clear Path Aligners (Invisible Aligners) correct?

Clear Path Aligners are essentially used for patients who have mild to moderate conditions of crowded teeth, crooked teeth, open bite, overbite, or spacing problems. Clear path aligners could be the key to getting your perfect smile and saying goodbye to the crooked teeth. You may feel much more confident, stress-free, and relaxed, as only you know that you are wearing them. This inconspicuous orthodontic treatment is perfect for adults and teenagers who want their teeth moving to their desired position without the wires and metal or ceramic brackets. Transform your smile by straightening your teeth with Clear path aligners without compromising on your appearance with the use of conventional braces.

What is the procedure for Clear path aligner (invisible aligners) treatment?

The orthodontist or dentist examines your teeth and will decide how to correct your bite. A dentist/ associate dentist or orthodontist will use high-tech 3-D imaging technology to take a scan of your mouth. Next, they upload the scan to a computer to make a virtual model of your smile. The orthodontist or dentist then works with a state-of-the-art computer program, which maps out all of the essential steps that your teeth need to take to achieve optimal alignment. This information allows the Dentist to create your custom aligner for every step in the sequence of trays.

The 3D Model depicts exact movements and it is showed and discussed with the patients for their consent to the final outlook. Once the final outlook has been approved by the patient and the dentist, the digital scan and treatment plan is then sent off to the Clear Path Aligner head-office, which makes custom aligners.

On the next visit, you will be given Clear path aligners and asked to wear them for 22 hours a day and move on to the following set every two weeks until you’ve gone through your entire series of trays. The sequential insertion of the aligners will make slight adjustments to move your teeth till you get the desired results. You will be called for regular check-ups with the dentist to monitor your progress, but not as frequently as compared to conventional braces.

How do Clear Path Aligners (Invisible Aligners) work?

Clear path aligners use Clear path polymer or acrylic trays, that fit tightly over the teeth, to move teeth gradually in small increments. Clear path aligners can be removed for eating, flossing, and brushing. Each Clear path aligner is designed to apply controlled force on the patient’s teeth.

We have chosen a company called Clear Path Aligners that makes invisible aligners, from which we have had great results in ten years. It is an internationally recognized company with branches all over the globe, with clients and case dispatches being done all across North America, Australia, and the Middle East.

What is the duration of Clear Path Aligners treatment (Invisible Aligners)?

Treatment time varies depending on individual needs and how much movement is required. However, Clear Path Aligner treatment typically ranges from 6 to 24 months.

What is the cost of Clear Path Aligners (Invisible Aligners) treatment?

The length of treatment and the number of Clear Path Aligners required in the treatment determines the cost of the treatment. The treatment includes consultation, appointment, 3D Scans, dental impressions, photographs, and aligner design, fabrication, and delivery. Dentists or orthodontists will gather the vital details from individuals about what they want to change so that you, your dentist, and the Clear Path Aligners are working towards the same goal of a perfect smile.

Durrani’s Dental Clinic will advise you on this matter, as Dr. Shoaib Durrani has great experience in this area. Hence, you can make an informed decision. We also offer “part-payment plans”, which permits patients to pay a deposit up-front with smaller monthly payments.

What can I expect during the Clear Path Aligner (Invisible Aligners) treatment process?

Discomfort and sensitivity are normal in the first few days of the treatment. You may take a few weeks to get used to your Clear Path Aligners. Speech problems, a mild lisp, or drooling during sleeping can also occur while you have Clear path aligners in your mouth.

These trivial problems resolve on their own in a matter of a few weeks.

What are the benefits of Clear Path Aligners (Invisible Aligners)?

The most jaw-dropping benefit is the fact that the aligners are so transparent that people can’t even tell that you’re undergoing orthodontic treatment!

Clear Path Aligners are virtually invisible and much more comfortable than traditional braces. Clear Path Aligners are removable; hence you can brush and floss your teeth during treatment. Clear Path alignment shows fast results and can be easily maintained and cleaned during treatment which makes it the more hygienic option. It is not like traditional braces where there are several wires required to tighten or there is a breakage of brackets that can injure the lips or cheeks.

Is it difficult to clean & maintain Clear Path Aligners (Invisible Aligners)?

Clear Path Aligners are easy to maintain and to keep clean. You can effortlessly brush your teeth twice a day with an electric toothbrush and gargle with warm water or a fluoride mouth wash before daily flossing.

Why are Clear Path Aligners (Invisible Aligners) better than braces?

There is no comparison between the two treatment modalities since both treatments have their own set of benefits and shortcomings. They are not a ‘one size fits all’ treatment option. In some severe cases, conventional braces have the advantage of bringing about a drastic game-changing smile makeover. While in certain adult orthodontic cases, where the patient is responsible and compliant, some fabulously amazing results are achieved in mild to moderate cases with complete secrecy and discretion!

However, evading an ugly metal or ceramic bracket smile is not the only reason to opt for Clear Path Aligners. Unlike traditional metal braces, Clear Path aligners can easily be removed and cleaned. It is easier to brush and floss twice a day which helps in maintaining overall better oral health.

What are the ways to keep my teeth straight after treatment?

After Clear Path Aligner treatment, you will be provided with a custom-made retainer tray. The retainer can be removed or permanently placed using a small-sized wire on the palatal or lingual surface of the teeth to hold them in optimal alignment.
