No! This procedure is carried out under profound local anesthesia, once the area around the particular tooth is numb, it won’t hurt.
- What happens after a root canal?
Once the procedure is completed, we advise you to take a pain killer before the anesthesia wears off. After that, you may go back to your normal routine. We give you an appointment again after 1-2 days for crown prep. A crown is recommended to be placed over a tooth that has received a root canal. It provides the necessary strength and support to the remaining tooth structure and permanent filling to function well.
- My teeth will look whiter after Scaling?
Not Really. Scaling is a procedure carried out to remove tartar and external stains from tea, coffee, wine, and cigarette/sheesha smoke. After scaling, the teeth will look cleaner. Teeth Whitening is a separate procedure in which the actual shade of the tooth is made lighter and brighter.

No. It is strongly advised to refrain from strenuous exercises, like going to the gym or running, for the next 48 hours after surgery.

Mouthwashes can be used for sensitivity, bad breath, and cavity protection with regular brushing and flossing but not instead of regular cleanings. Your dentist will recommend the best type of mouthwash for you.
