- Any deliberate damage to the patient should be compensated
- The name and personal details of the patients should be kept safe and not shared with anyone without the patient’s consent
- If a patient avoids being open about their deteriorating oral health, their decision must be respected
- Before the commencement of any dental treatment, the patient has to be briefed in detail about the procedure and all related questions should be addressed, followed by informed consent since consent is essential
- Nothing should be done without prior knowledge of the patient.
It is our philosophy that the patient should feel safe and be stress-free before initiating any dental treatment. Along with a privacy policy, we have also made it extremely easy for the patient to book an appointment at our dental practice.
The clinical practice protocol has also been devised as follows;
- Schedule an appointment on call, text, or WhatsApp
- Patients receive a soft reminder message of their appointment on the day; we do not want you to miss your dental visit
- Meet and greet on appointment; the patients are warmly welcomed by the friendly staff to make them comfortable,
- Patients fill out a brief history form and a COVID 19 consent form. Every single detail is safe and is our responsibility
- The patient is then seated for a general dental checkup
- Detailed consultation session includes digital intraoral pictures and radiographs; after discussing with the patient, we move forward towards explaining our diagnosis and planning the dental treatment
- Perform treatment procedure; every step is explained to the patients, they are taught hand gestures to stop the dentist if they experience any issue or an emergency arises
- At the end of the procedure, we give out printed or digital post-op instructions as hand-outs. Patients can forget what they hear but not what they see; Hence after verbally giving them post-op instructions, the patients are given detailed post-op in written form, so that the aftercare is not neglected
- Schedule a follow-up appointment if necessary.
